GBV Programs
Making a Difference
Kgomotso Morotolo a Director and Founder of Lefatshe La Thuto has been active and part of the Gender Based Violence program since 2018 with African Spear Records and Entertainment and affiliated with Music Performers Association of South Africa being the Marketing Officer and Project Assistant Coordinator. Her role is to ensure that the artists, community members, the youth, women, children understand the message and guidance that has been conveyed by motivational speakers, the victims as well as the perpetrators that have served their time in prison and want to give back to the society and youth about the challenges and the choices they made and the negative affect it has brought into their lives. The Gender Based Violence program has stakeholders which are the police, the government representatives, social workers, physiologist, national taxi association and many more in support of the program.
The GBV program ensures that our communities are educated on the impacts affecting them and being taught about the likes of prevention and providing skills development programs this is part of their healing process . We strongly as ABO encourage hope and well being for those who have been affected by providing the necessary support and guidance to live life to the best of their ability. The gender based violence program transforms the music sector and market access for emerging and professional performers to unlock the potential of the South African music industry and was also collaborating the new and upcoming artists to show of their talent. The program has been carrying out workshops on educating the society and the youth about the importance of gender-based violence and strongly encouraging to love, care, help, protect one another and to blow the whistle if one is suspicious of abuse. We strongly believe that prevention is better than cure. The journey is still continues.

Kgomotso Morotolo the founder of LEFATSHE LA THUTO with the vision and drive to improve our Charitable Foundation and make our name synonymous with social change and human betterment Kgomotso Morotolo has focused on developing the organization with great integrity.
Kgomotso Morotolo holds a Diploma in Generic and Customer Service management. She has obtained Medical Clinical Studies Diploma (Coursegate) from United Kingdom. She has been awarded certificates of excellence from South African Revenue Services (Sars) and Airports company of South Africa (ACSA).She has obtained IT certificates from TORQUE IT . Kgomotso is the Founder of Lefatshe La Thuto. She is very enthusiastic about her contribution to community development. Having previously worked as sales and marketing executive in different industries (Banking, Real estate, Logistics, and Telecommunications), She has specialist skills in marketing, sales and charity programme management as well as extensive experience in the corporate world where she was a top achiever in a more than 10year career. She is passionate about her civic responsibility and is has embarked in the campaign of Gender based Violence for Music Performers Association of South Africa (MPASA), an organization that motivates, make awareness, guide ,give direction to communities and focus on the social challenges projects such as drug awareness and gender violence awareness in societies thus we have managed to touch the hearts of our society mostly the youth by creating the Gender Based Violence soccer and netball tournament. Kgomotso’s role is to focus on the overall strategic management of the organization.

Monde Ngqumeya

Words cannot describe the role that Monde Ngqumeya has had in ensuring that LEFATSHE LA THUTO always stays on track. Monde is an accomplished Senior Executive holding a Bachelors degree in Transport Economics ; Honours Bachelors degree in Transport with majors in Aviation and Public Transport and a Post graduate degree in Business Administration and an MBA. He has a strong affinity for inclusive management and is a results-driven professional with over 15 years’ experience in various industries such as Aviation, Logistics and Telecoms– the majority of his experience has been in State-Owned Companies and Government. Monde has a proven talent for identifying core business needs and translating these needs into deliverables. He has unique combination of technical and business experience, ability to operationalize strategy and manage projects from planning through to execution. Experienced in analyzing and streamlining operations to increase productivity, quality and efficiency. Monde possesses strong interpersonal skills, catalyst for change, transformation and performance improvement. His public sector has been complimented by his experience at a leading private sector company. Monde s role is the management of administration systems of the organization and to ensure that as a non-profit business, LLT is on a sustainable footing. He has recently taken over his family farm as Business Development Manager and Managing Director of the farm. The farm operates on the basis of sustainability by utilizing manure from his poultry farm to support various small scale farmers in the region. Also as a traditional healer his involvement in Bio-diversity is on traditional medicine and working with the Traditional Healers Organistion - a national body that is responsible for how our local flora and fauna can be commercialized. This has been a shortcoming of the past in which traditional medicine and knowledge has benefited the large pharmaceuticals and not the communities at large in which the bio-produce are sourced. He is passionate on skills transfer and providing opportunities for the informal economy to mutually benefit with all engagements with the formal economy. Monde is passionate on addressing all issues regarding to Gender based violence and redressing the negative impact of the scourge needs to be addressed.

Dr Nthape P. MphashaReseacher
A passionate advocate for innovation, research and development, Nthape Mphasha has a lustrous research career including holding an Editorial Board Member position with the International Journal of Materials Science and Applications. Nthape counts his main achievements as being his excellent performance throughout his academic career. He earned recognition of top Achiever’s on completion of his Master degree and became a part of the Golden Key International Honour Society in 2022. Nthape has published his research in peer-reviewed journals and presented at local and international conferences, including at the 20th Plansee Seminar held in Reutte, Austria. He is currently a Financial Aid Liaison in the Academic Development Unit, Faculty of Engineering and Built Environment at the University of the Witwatersrand. Since 2018, Nthape has been driving the Unit’s eco-social support to embrace a student-centred strategy in line with the University’s plans to reset itself as a research-intensive institution. His people-centred leadership and firebrand reputation have been evident in how the Academic Development Unit has successfully connected better with students, as well as how the University has embraced its essence of ensuring it stays true to climate justice matters whilst pursuing innovation. Zibonele Zimba

Words cannot describe the role that Zibonele has had in ensuring that LEFATSHE LA THUTO always stays on track. Zibonele holds a PhD in Social work. He is a lecturer of community development and leadership at the University of Johannesburg. He further supervisees post graduate research students. Tebatjo is truly inspirational and makes it a pleasure to come to work.Tebatjo Makhafola is a current student of Master of Management in Finance and Investment at the Wits Business School. His research report is focused on the funding of coal fired power stations. The objective of the research is to understand the determinants of funding of coal by using, through empirical and scientific evidence. Tebatjo currently holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting degree, Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB) as well as the Postgraduate Diploma in Management majoring in Business Administration. He has previously served as an intern in the Environmental Justice Department at CALS (Centre for Applied Legal Studies at Wits University). He is a fellow of ASRI Future Leader’s Programme and has served as a volunteer at WCCO (Wits Citizenship & Community Outreach) as well as Wits UNICEF initiative. As a life long enthusiast of adding value in the institution I am working for, I have succeeded at expanding my knowledge of and not limited to In my current position at Gauteng share services center, I have supervised all phases of duties and initiatives furnished to me, a list of which includes (salary administration, registry clerk, sorting and filing of documents, creating files for GPG employees and attending to file queries, data capture, car park attendant, shuttling of vehicle and checking of vehicles.

She is a graduate Software Developer adept in bringing forth expertise in design, installation, testing and maintenance of software systems. Equipped with a diverse and promising skill-set. Proficient in various platforms, languages, and embedded systems. Able to effectively self-manage during independent projects, as well as collaborate as part of a productive teamI am knowledgeable in user interface, testing, and debugging processes. Bringing forth expertise in design, installation, testing and maintenance of web systems.Graduating with a bachelors degree in software engineering from a well-known province in China (Shandong). Liaocheng University has groomed her and open her eyes to bigger possibilities. China is well known for its technological advancement that makes life in general less of a hassle. Thabisile stayed in China for four years and has learned not only the theoretical part of computer science, but also how to use it in the real world and how to implement it into our lives.While in China, she worked at an e-bike manufacturing company (March 2020-June 2021) that aimed at making a very small bicycle looking vehicle have the most functions that could be found in cars.
From January 2022 to June 2022 she worked in a robotics training center for kids training teachers the best way to teach kids aged 6 to 12 the basics of computers while making it a fun experience.
Her highest skills include HTML JavaScript, python, PHP, Java, and using platforms like android studio and Figma to the design and implementation of applications.Thabisile is a beginner to intermediate level of French and Chinese.

Violet stumbled upon her love for tech during one of the toughest times of her life, when her only escape was gaming. Violet she is in layman's terms, a 'fresher' in the tech industry and always looking for innovative ideas and solutions that will help her gain knowledge about her field. Nkululeko has a clear, logical mind with a practical approach to problem-solving and a drive to see things through to completion. He is a certified project manager and a certified Health and Safety practitioner. He has more 5 years of experience in managing and leading teams across multiple sectors. He is an avid reader, passionate about personal development and to develop his community as well. More and above Nkululeko is a musical artist that has worked with an array of artists, including Unathi Nkai the former idols judge and Chico twala the renowned producer of all times. Outside the scope of what he knows, he is eager to learn new things and enjoys to overcome challenges that he faces. Nkululeko has distinct prowess in events management and in the corporate world.

Kedibone Patience Mokgethi was born and raised in Soweto, worked at Pattleys food store as an assistant. She is currently a volunteer assisting children and women with school work and administration work for an NGO in her community her childhood wasn't smooth sailing once tried to commit suicide and was in a coma for 8 days have been through a lot however she managed to overcome those obstacles and is giving back motivational talks to the community and believes that she needs to help those who are in the situation she once experienced.
